This is the day I prayed that he would make it to see. I wish he were here. He would be so proud to see his youngest daughter graduate from high school, so excited for her future.

blessings of today:

1. Seeing my younger sister in her last choir concert. You were amazing, Bugs! So glad to see the amazing friendships you've made through choir.

2. Getting to Skype with the bestie while she's in Chicago living out her dream momentarily. I feel loved when she makes time for me (okay, maybe it was for my adorable dog Chaya) despite being so busy and happy elsewhere.

3. Sunshine AND warm temperatures. What is this, spring?! Thank you, God :) Wisconsin appreciates the gesture.

4. Skipping through Copps with my mom, begging for ice cream toppings and laughing at all the funny birthday cards. I can always be a little kid with her.

5. Watching Chaya try to eat bubbles. Few things can make me laugh as hard as I do when I see that.

blessings of today:

1. Dinner with the ladies. So nice to get out of the apt and laugh. A lot.

2. Good conversations with a lot of different people.

3. Finally getting back to a somewhat normal sleep schedule.

4. Being able to wear shorts without fear of frostbite!

5. Getting my grades and knowing that I did fine in all my classes.

blessings of today:

1. Feeling and smelling the spring air. Finally! Yesterday felt like winter.

2. Getting to spend the day in bed after getting sick last night. So glad that I had the day completely off to recover.

3. Finding perspective. I'm not the only one who has lost a parent. Sometimes I need that reminder.

4. Hearing my friend talk about the job she loves. It makes me so happy to hear how happy she is.

5. Getting a message from my roommate and laughing about memories we have at this apartment. Gonna miss it...

blessings of today:

1. Getting dinner w/ two of my really good friends from Marquette. One of the girls is graduating from grad school here and is looking for a job, so she may not be around much longer. So glad to have the chance to hang out with her while she's still here!

2. Not having to study or even look at a textbook! Although it did leave me kind of lost and wondering what to do at work...

3. Having a warm shower and a warm bed to crawl into after walking in the rain.

4. Re-realizing that my best friend is someone who doesn't judge me no matter what, and that may be one of the biggest indicators of friendship in my book.

5. Having the chance to start reading "The Reason for God" again. For some reason it's a challenging read for me, but very interesting and very worthwhile.

blessings of today:

1. ALL 9 FINALS ARE DONE!

2. Breakfast w/ PT girls - omelets and Irish coffee and celebrating the end of our first year of PT school! I love those girls.

3. Getting to nap. I feel like this is a trend lately. But that's probably because I haven't been sleeping at night... darn exams.

4. Texting with my brother while catching up on Parks and Recreation. a) hilarious show and b) hilarious conversation.

5. Seeing that the APTA is still working hard to get legislation passed to have loan repayment for working with underserved populations. This is what I ultimately want to do and I'm glad that its importance is recognized.

blessings of today:

1. Crashing after my final and having my friend cover for me when I was 45 minutes late to work! This never happens and I was so embarrassed, but she was so kind about it and didn't even mind.

2. Doing well on my cumulative kinesiology final, because it means that I actually am learning the material, not just memorizing it for the exam and forgetting it.

3. Talking to one of my coworkers/friends for a while at work today who is graduating and moving back to Chicago. She is one of the sweetest and most genuine people I have met at Marquette, and I can really say that I am better for having met her.

4. Having a therapeutic venting session with 5 other PTs. Hilarious and necessary. I haven't laughed this much in a while! And it's good to hear that I'm not the only one just trying to survive.

5. Having Jessie J's "Do it Like a Dude" stuck in my head all day and dancing to it not caring what anyone thought :)
